9th Biennial Regional Symposium on Total Laboratory Management (QSEL 2019)

Held in conjunction with the upcoming LabAsia 2019, the 9th Biennial Regional Symposium on Total Laboratory Management – Quality, Safety, Environment and Laboratory Informatics (QSEL 2019) will be proudly hosted by Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) from 15 – 16 October 2019, at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

INTRODUCTION
Institut Kimia Malaysia is proud to present the 9th Biennial Regional Symposium on Total Laboratory Management (QSEL) 2019, jointly organized with Department of Chemistry Malaysia and Department of Standards Malaysia and in collaboration with Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Health, Department of Occupational Safety and Health, and Department of Environment.

Highlighting the theme Laboratory Management Evolution, QSEL 2019 will mark the first time the symposium initiates a panel forum discussion. The two days symposium is designed to provide and share the latest developments and information on laboratory quality management, laboratory informatics and technology. It provides unique opportunity to understand the laboratory workforce, highlighting the roles of analysts and technicians in the improvement of chemical lab of any scope and specialty.

OBJECTIVE
QSEL 2019 aims to provide insights about laboratory management, in term of quality, safety, practices and cutting edge technologies to assist attendees in improving their efficiency and management skills, and enhancing laboratory operations. Invited academicians and practitioners will share their knowledge about latest certification, regulations and legislations which are essential for smooth running of laboratories, making a positive impact for quality laboratory performance.

7th Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry to be Co-Located with LabAsia 2019

Held in conjunction with the upcoming LabAsia 2019, the 7th Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC7) will be proudly hosted by Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) from 15 – 18 October 2019, at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ACCC7 aims to gather inorganic and coordination chemists all over the world to present their most recent research findings and to exchange ideas on the most frontier research topics in inorganic and coordination chemistry. 6,000 Visit Exhibition On Lab Equipment

THE 6th Malaysia Scientific and Laboratory Equipment Exhibition and conference (LabAsia 2017) was held in conjunction with the 25th World Forum on Advance Materials (Polychar 2017) and the 8th Biennial Regional symposium on Total Laboratory management (QSEL 2017).

The biennial international trade exhibition for laboratory equipment and services serving the Asean scientific community was jointly organised by ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd and the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (IKM).

ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd, one of the world’s leading organisers of international trade exhibitions and conferences, holds more than 250 exhibitions and conferences annually in 15 countries.

More than 6,000 visitors attended the three-day exhibition.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau officially launched all three events simultaneously at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Also present at the opening ceremony were IKM president Datuk Dr Ong Eng Long and founder of Labasia exhibitions C.P. Saw.

LabAsia 2017 featured 154 exhibitors and principals from 10 countries, including China, Germany, France, Britain and the United States, showcasing new products and services.

Besides the exhibition, it also staged 36 technical seminars, presented by industry experts from around the globe with topics ranging from laboratory safety and management to quality and accreditation systems.

To reward visitors, LabAsia held several contests whereby three winners were selected for a two-day all-expense-paid trip to Jakarta to visit LabIndonesia next year, followed by a three-day stay in Bandung.
