Lab Indonesia will be held on 8-10 May 2012, and the symposium will be held on 9-10 May 2012, the second and third day of Lab Indonesia 2012.
Institute Kimia Malaysia (IKM), or the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, is a professional scientific organisation incorporated under the Chemicals Act 1975 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Inaugurated on 8th April 1967 with 27 Founding Members, IKM was registered with the Societies Act 1966 on 13th October 1967 and Himpunan Kimia Indonesia (HKI), or Indonesian Chemical Society, an independent, nonprofit organization was founded in February 1962 to facilitate communication among Indonesian chemists and other professionals from chemistry related fields, and to promote the advancement of science, education, and application of chemistry to support the better life of mankind.
In line with “The International Year of Chemistry 2011”, HKI will organize their National Seminar on the 8th May 2012 at the Jakarta Convention Center. Entitled “The National Conference of Inorganic, Physical and Analytical Chemistry”, this National Seminar is specially organized for their members of 1500 professional chemist and professionals from related fields. This society is supported by its members in 15 branches in various provinces in Indonesia.
This National Conference is a prelude to 2nd ITLMS 2012 - “The 2nd Indonesia Total Laboratory Management Symposium (ITLMS) 2012”

2nd ITLMS 2012 features the latest developments in Laboratory Quality Management, Laboratory Safety, Laboratory Environment Management and Laboratory Informatics & Technology. This scientific symposium will bring together researches and others professionals in chemistry as well as other scientific disciplines from Indonesia, member states of ASEAN and other parts of the worlds to present their working papers on technology innovation and latest development in laboratory services.
The objective is to provide an opportunity for laboratory personnel to keep abreast with the current trends in the region on laboratory quality, environment, safety and laboratory information management system (LIMS), these being the major elements of total laboratory management.
